it’s 3:32am but. BUT. tomarry soulmates + time travel au. people have a grey print on their bodies based on where their soulmate will touch them for the first time. when they do touch it, it turns into a different colour.
Tom doesn’t have a print until Harry arrives in his timeline. it’s in the form of a knuckle punch, right at his jawline. Tom walks around Hogwarts with a shocking, brand new grey print on his face where there never was one at all. no one wants to hit Tom to find out if they’re soulmates, worried they might get hexed by the most powerful mf in school.
when Tom finally sees the new student for the first time, there were three things he immediately noticed:
1.) the new student has a pair of vibrant green eyes.
2.) those green eyes looked very surprised and angry to see Tom.
