The only exception seems to be the cat in the tomb of Puimre at Thebes (TT 39), dated to the reign of Thutmose III (1479-1425 BC), which is called Nedjem (or Nedjemet, if female), ‘Sweet’ or ‘Pleasant;’ the figure of the cat is, unfortunately, almost completely lost.”
